Medical Marijuana Consultant Deanna Gabriel
Deanna Gabriel CCH CN is a certified clinical herbalist and clinical nutritionist with a passion for educating others on the benefits of natural remedies and the creation of beautiful botanical medicines. In addition to her clinical training, she holds a BS in Biology and Public Relations. Deanna received her clinical herbal training in Boulder, CO at the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism, a two year intensive course of study focusing on the use and preparation of a variety of botanical medicines, human anatomy and physiology, disease pathology, and nutrition. Currently, Deanna is the co-owner, formulator and medicine maker for the Colorado based herbal infusion company, Cannabis Magic. Deanna offers her cannabis expertise as a consultant with GreenSpring Consulting, a Colorado based consulting firm where Deanna is a partner. She specializes in creating a medical marijuana business plan with MMCs (Medical Marijuana Centers) on staff education, retail design, product selection and display, patient relations and cannabis infusions.
Additionally, Deanna is a well-respected cannabis educator. She has developed a curriculum of study on Cannabis Therapeutics and Medicine Making which includes detailed information about cannabinoids and their effects on the human body and health; applications and dosing strategies; and the creation of medicinal tinctures, oil infusions and salves. These courses are offered through Greenway University, Cannabis Therapy Institute and through private consultations. Deanna has presented lectures on these topics at the 2010 Plant Medicine Expo held in Denver, CO and the 2011 Green Relief Conference in Arizona. Deanna has been published nationally in Kush magazine and featured on MSNBC as a cannabis entrepreneur. She is the author of “Ask Deanna”, a patient focused health column offered through the Medical Marijuana Assistance Program of America (MMAPA). The column’s focus is to answer questions about the therapeutic use of cannabis and to provide beneficial information on a variety of health and wellness topics. She also offers private classes and apprenticeships focusing on the use and preparation of a variety of botanical medicines.
